Shichon (Teddy Bears & Zurchons)
Shichon (Teddy Bears & Zurchons)
The Shichon is a first generation cross between a registered Shih Tzu and an registered Bichon. The result is a the most wonderful family dog imaginable ( my opinion). The nose is slightly longer than the Shih Tzu, eliminating the nasal issues common with that breed. The coat is very soft and it actually feels like you are holding and hugging one the the very soft stuffed teddy bears that we bought for my daughter when she was younger. The Shichon is very friendly and loves everyone, the cat, dogs, neighbors, pizza guy, cable guy, and anyone else they come in contact with. They are intelligent, I have had reports of the potty training being over in less than two weeks, remember that you have to put some effort into potty training. The Shichon will be a small dog, ranging from 8 lbs. to 14 lbs., I have had a report that one of ours is now 19 lbs. but it is a result of too many doggy treats.
All of our Shichon puppies come to us from a Breeder in southwest Missouri. We are originally from that area and have developed a relationship with a very reputable breeder. We have Shichon puppies several times a year and sell mainly in the Chicago area.
